In a food processor, you will add half a cup of buttermilk and half a cup of sour cream, 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, and and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard. Next add 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, one small minced garlic clove, and one minced shallot. Next add a tablespoon of fresh dill or a teaspoon of dried dill and a dash of salt and pepper. Mix this all up in the food processor and stream in 2 tablespoons of olive oil to emulsify it. You’ve got yourself some homemade, preservative free, fresh, buttermilk ranch dressing!
